We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our KS2 team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and will work with pupils to enhance their learning experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a difference in children's lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons.
  • Support individual and small groups of pupils with their learning.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist with the assessment and recording of pupils' progress.
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes as required.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.

Person Specification:

  • A passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational development.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, particularly with KS2 pupils, is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills; GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) are essential.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous but not essential.
