Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to support young learners in their first steps into school life? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at a Wolverhampton Primary School, which is proudly part of an established Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).

About the Role:As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children’s learning and development during their foundational years. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. This role offers the flexibility to work either full-time or part-time, depending on your availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist in planning and preparing engaging learning activities that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s social interactions within the classroom and outdoor learning environments.
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff, parents, and carers to support each child's development.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has previous referenceable experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting in the last 2 years.
  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
