Are you a caring and resilient individual passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you have the experience and skills in behaviour management to create a positive, nurturing environment for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils facing challenges?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a Secondary School with a Specialist Resource Base (SRB) in Ashton-in-makerfield. This SRB provides tailored educational and emotional support to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who have faced difficulties in mainstream settings due to behavioural and emotional needs. The goal is to help these students develop confidence, positive attitudes, and academic progress.

As a Learning Support Assistant, You will offer one-on-one and small group support, focusing on both academic growth and emotional well-being, while promoting an inclusive, safe, and respectful learning environment.

This role requires someone comfortable working with students who struggle with anxiety and other emotional challenges, helping them to manage their emotions and engage in learning. Building trust and strong rapport will be essential in encouraging students' personal growth and self-esteem, while also tracking their progress, behaviour, and achievements for ongoing reports.
