A specialist SEN provision for students between 11 and 18 in Bolton is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team.

As an Autism Support Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the learning experience, collaborating with skilled teachers, therapists, and support staff to nurture the academic and personal development of students with Autism and Complex Learning Difficulties. Each day, you'll find innovative ways to engage students, adapt learning activities to meet diverse needs, and contribute to a warm, inclusive community where every student can thrive.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Empowering Student Growth: Provide essential support to students with Autism and complex learning difficulties, helping them achieve both academically and socially.
  • Tailoring Learning: Assist in implementing personalised learning plans that cater to the individual needs of each student, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
  • Supporting Daily Life: Offer compassionate assistance with daily activities and personal care, making a tangible difference in students' lives.
  • Collaborative Contribution: Work hand-in-hand with teachers and fellow support staff to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students.

What We're Looking For: While previous experience in a specialist school setting is a bonus, what we're really after is your passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to supporting students with special educational needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Relevant references and a DBS certificate (or eligibility to apply).
  • Availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
