Teaching Assistant Expiring soon

We are looking for resilient Teaching Assistants to work at a SEN school in Somerset. This Special Needs School caters for students between the ages of 6-14 with Autism (ASC), as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) conditions and associated behavioural difficulties. 

Their small, nurturing environment provides twelve places. Education is delivered individually or in small groups of usually, three learners.

As a Teaching Assistant in this school, you duties will include:

• Helping pupils develop a love of learning and a sense of place
• Ensuring pupils achieve their potential in Literacy and Numeracy
• Helping students to build on communication and problem solving skills
• Inspiring the students through positive challenge
• Helping pupils overcome individual difficulties to become confident, effective learners

To be considered for this position, it is essential you have experience supporting young people with special educational needs within an educational setting. Autism experience is not essential but would be beneficial.

We are currently looking for candidates who can work full time, part time and on a flexible basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
