TEACHING ASSISTANT

Are you a recent graduate looking to pursue a career in teaching? Or perhaps you are looking to gain valuable experience working in education?

Numerous secondary schools in the Slough area are looking for new Teaching Assistants/LSA’s to start as soon as possible. Successful candidates will be given the chance to experience several different roles within the school but will primarily support students across all Key Stages.

Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience working as a TA or have knowledge of SEN, but this is not essential.

Key features of a Teaching Assistant post:

  • Someone who is resilient, good interpersonal skills and can handle challenging situations.
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Tutor or experience in the healthcare sector and with multi-agencies.
  • Have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • The ability to motivate pupils to achieve their educational attainment
  • Supporting students in class under the guidance of the teacher
  • Implementing classroom behaviour policies
  • Residing in the UK or have a UK address you are moving to in the near future to comply with the DBS requirements

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
