Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit Learning Mentors to support children in primary schools with their learning and emotional well being. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant you will be working with children and young people in Key Stages 1&2 . The successful candidate will be passionate, driven and ready to work alongside students that may sometimes experience challenging behaviour and seem disengaged in the classroom and learning. Your role will be to support the children with their individual learning needs, often working on a 1:1 basis. The school are looking to trial people ASAP and could be long term for the right candidate so please do get in contact if you think you're the right fit!

• Experience working 1:1 with children with SEN
• Confidence in working with children who display challenging behaviour
• Experience supporting children academically in a classroom or similar environment
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• A calm and patient manner with the ability to de-escalate difficult situations and understand a child's needs and struggles

Salary - £10.70 per hour

Location - Lewes
