Location: Padiham, Burnley

Position: Full-Time General Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Salary: £12.82 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Are you passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of young learners? A primary school in bURNLEY  is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position with hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive hourly rate between £12.82 and £15.00, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons across various subjects.
  • Support individual students or small groups in literacy/phonics and numeracy sessions, both within the classroom and in separate sessions.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and areas for development.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to plan and implement educational activities.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and pastoral care of students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working with small groups of students, providing individualised support as needed.
  • Knowledge of literacy/phonics and numeracy strategies preferred.
  • A patient and nurturing demeanor, with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
