This school provision meets the needs of learners with a range of complex needs. This includes learners between the ages of 4-19 with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD.)

The main school site is for 4-16 year olds. On this site they have a Hydrotherapy pool. A College for sixth formers is a mile away from the school site and there is a bungalow close to the site which supports students in understanding independent living and moving into adult life.

To really thrive in this role, you must have experience working with children or adults with special needs. We will also consider those with personal experience in this area. We will also consider applicants who have experience working with children in a different setting.

You must also:

  • Be playful, kind and receptive
  • Have passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential
  • Be dedicated to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support
  • Be comfortable to support with personal care
  • Have good interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Be punctual and reliable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
