We are looking for a teaching assistant for a special educational needs (SEN) school in North London.

As a teaching assistant in this SEN school, you will be working with primary school students aged 3-11 years old, with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD). These students are also on an Education, Health, and Care Plan.

Willingness to do personal care is preferred.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

• To help prepare students for independence outside of school.
• To engage students in a curriculum involving both subject learning and life skills.
• To promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
• To aid the teacher in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
• To be aware of and carefully follow safeguarding procedures to ensure students' safety.

Teaching Assistant Requirements

• The right to work in the UK.
• A clear and up-to-date DBS.
• Experience working in schools as a teaching assistant.
• A passion for supporting young people with SEN.#
