Salary: £130-£180 per day

About Us: Teaching Personnel is hiring for Primary schools which are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to grow and learn. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our mission of fostering early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities and lessons.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive play and structured activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Early Years Education or Childcare (Level 3 preferred).
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early years curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic first aid certification is an advantage.
  • A clear DBS check (or equivalent background check).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
