Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Primary SEN Unit, London Borough of Lambeth (near Vauxhall)

Start Date: September 2024

Hours: Full-time, 5 days a week (8:30 AM - 3:45/4:00 PM)

Reeson Education is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a primary SEN unit in the London Borough of Lambeth, near Vauxhall, specialising in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This full-time role starts in September 2024, offering the opportunity to work 5 days a week with consistent hours from 8:30 AM to 3:45/4:00 PM. The school is seeking to trial candidates as soon as possible.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Role Description:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in this primary SEN unit, you will play a crucial role in providing support to children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, offering individualised support to students, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role requires someone with experience working with children with Autism to thrive and make a significant impact.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

• Providing personalised support to students with ASC in a primary SEN unit
• Assisting teachers with the preparation and execution of lessons
• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting student's learning and development on a one-on-one or small group basis
• Engaging in school events and activities

SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is essential
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A proactive, positive approach to supporting student needs
• An updated DBS or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education
