Starting in September 2024, you will have the chance to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping them to achieve their full potential.

This is a full-time, long-term position with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. Ideal for those aspiring to begin a career in education, this role offers the chance to gain valuable experience and make a meaningful impact on young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons, providing support to students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Individual and Group Assistance: Work with small groups or individual students to support their learning and help them achieve their educational goals.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with classroom management, preparing teaching materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Behaviour Management: Help manage student behaviour and support the implementation of the school’s behaviour policies.
  • Encourage Development: Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes students' personal, social, and academic development.

Requirements:

  • Interest in Education: A passion for supporting young people and a desire to begin a career in the education sector.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to assist across various subjects and year groups at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Positive Attitude: A proactive and positive approach to working with children and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Safer in Education check.
