This role involves supporting a child with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) who is transitioning to Year 1. The child will also spend some time in the Reception class for familiarity.

Role Overview:

• Supportive Environment: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to a child with specific educational needs. Your dedication will help create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
• Experience Required: Previous UK-based experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable for this role.

Key Duties:

• Provide one-on-one support to a child with an EHCP, ensuring their needs are met both in Year 1 and during time spent in the Reception class.
• Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the child's needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure comprehensive support for the child.
• Engage with the child in various activities, both in the classroom and during recreational times.

Requirements:

• Previous UK-based experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
