About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join a group of primary schools in the Malton area. This role involves working across various classes, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2, providing vital support to students. You'll be engaged in both one-on-one support and classroom assistance, tailored to the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 Support: Assist pupils with SEN diagnoses, helping them engage with the curriculum and feel integrated into the classroom environment. Support students who may be performing below expected levels, boosting their confidence and motivation.
  • Classroom Assistance: Help teachers set up and deliver classroom activities, manage classroom behaviour, and support students who may exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • Nurturing Environment: Contribute to the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each student, creating a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Availability: Minimum of four days per week.
  • Qualifications: At least 5 GCSEs A* - C, including English and Maths.
  • Experience: Previous experience working or volunteering in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Personality: A confident, outgoing, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Commitment: A genuine desire to support the development and success of each pupil.

  • Requirements: The role is subject to an Enhanced Child Only DBS check.
