Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide tailored educational support to children with special educational needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Support students with their learning, emotional, and physical needs in a classroom setting.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with children, helping them engage with and understand the curriculum.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and support students in developing social skills.
  • Assist with personal care needs, where necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

Qualifications and Experience:

*NO FORMAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATION REQUIRED*

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a special needs or primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations and individual needs.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check, safeguarding course and 2 references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
