Are you looking for a new challenge in the new academic year? Do you have a passion for working with children? An "Outstanding" rated Ofsted school in Farnborough are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support their pupils' SEN requirements.

As a dedicated Teaching Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape for the classroom, delving into captivating termly topics and offering invaluable support, sometimes on a 1:1 basis.

Above all else, we're seeking individuals with an infectious personality and a genuine desire to make a difference. Whether you're a seasoned pro or bringing personal experience to the table, your positive attitude and proactive approach will be the key to your success in an SEN school.

You will be working collaboratively with fellow staff members to best support the students, whilst building positive and impactful relationships with students and staff. 

 

About the candidate:

- Previous experience working in an SEN or SEMH environment

- Be flexible and adaptable to the needs and requirements of the school and its pupils

- Have a real passion for helping people with Special Needs

- Demonstrate the ability to engage with pupils at all levels

- Display resilience and be able to support a varied range of needs

- Maintain safeguarding protocols at all times

 

About the school:

The pupils have Complex Learning Difficulties, which can include:

- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties

- Severe Learning Difficulties

- Lower end Moderate Learning Difficulties

- Speech and Language

- There is also an element of personal care and hygiene assistance required

This is a lovely environment to work in, and the successful Teaching Assistant will be prepared to get stuck in and hit the ground running. Getting involved with the pupils and staff from the get-go, and have a genuine interest in Special Needs is a must. Cover is required 08:30 - 15:30 each day. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
