We are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a school in the Helston area.  This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference to children's development, helping and supporting them with their work and encouraging them as they strive to achieve their goals.

Good communication skills are vital in this role as you will be working alongside the class Teacher to support the students with their day to day learning activities. You will be expected to be flexible and work with students in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis. You will be provided with work by the class teacher though you may be expected to organise additional work sheets if you are working with students that you are familiar with and have an understanding of their abilities.

It is essential that you have a good standard of English (written and spoken) and Maths to be successful in this role. We are also looking for somebody who can be creative and make learning interesting and enjoyable for the students to help them engage to enhance their learning.

 

Your hours will be 8.30/45am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday during term time. The school are looking for somebody who can start in September, though appreciate that notice periods vary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
