Are you currently seeking a full-time position starting in September 2024? 

We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school located in Trowbridge. Boasting a fantastic reputation for creating a nurturing environment for all pupils, this primary school is looking for a teaching assistant to support in various year groups. 

Your role as a Teaching Assistant: 

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to KS2 pupils with autism. 
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's needs. 
  • Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. 
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development through structured activities and interventions. 
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff to ensure cohesive and comprehensive support. 
  • Monitor and track pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents. 
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes independence and self-confidence. 

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience working with children with autism is preferred 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
