Join Our Team as an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Portsmouth

A warm, welcoming school in Portsmouth is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within there Year 3 class. The role will start on a full time basis from September 2024 with the possibility of going permanent.

As an Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
  • Assist with the development of a stimulating and safe learning environment
  • Lead English & Maths intervention groups where appropriate
  • Provide support to SEN students as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children (desirable)
  • Enthusiasm for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for young children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and, most importantly, little learners
