Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: NP23

Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Monday – Friday)

Pay: £83.85 minimum per day

Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are seeking individuals to join our team of Teaching Assistants supporting local primary schools in the Blaenau Gwent area. If you're considering a career in education, seeking a change, or currently studying, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

We're seeking punctual, professional individuals with a genuine passion for working with children. At Teaching Personnel, we offer opportunities for career progression, including training such as Cover Supervisor courses.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in the classroom with basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Provide an engaging and nurturing environment to support children's social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and contribute to the daily operations of the school.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK (Passport or Birth Certificate)
  • Valid proof of address (Driving License, utility bill, or bank statement)
  • Valid referee details (Character references accepted if no prior work experience)
  • Child-only DBS (we can assist in obtaining this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
