Position: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time/Part-Time)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at in Ashington. This is a great opportunity to work in a friendly school environment, supporting children’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day activities in the classroom
  • Working one-on-one or with small groups of students
  • Helping to prepare lesson materials and set up the classroom
  • Supporting children’s learning, behaviour, and well-being
  • Assisting students with special educational needs where required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to work well with teachers and students
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable but not essential:

  • Qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
