Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistants for Primary schools in the Burnley area, specifically in the BB12 postcode. The roles are to commence following February half term. This will be on an initially temporary basis, with the view to be made permanent.

As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you would be required to:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with delivery of lessons.
  • Support pupils when required within a class of 28-31 pupils.
  • Assist in the management of behaviour.
  • Recognise gaps in learning.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to provide extra support in the core subjects, Numeracy, Literacy and Phonics.

The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, be positive, enthusiastic, work well with others and have a passion for pupils’ education. All our Teaching Assistants entering one of our partner schools are welcomed by experienced and friendly staff who are more than happy to help practitioners settle into their new roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
