Teaching Assistant – Flexible Role in the Rhondda.

Teaching Personnel are looking to take on a Flexible Teaching Assistant to work with several schools across the Rhondda area, supporting them with flexible cover when their regular members of staff are unwell or unavailable.

We work with several of the schools in the Rhondda, across the Primary, Secondary and Special Needs sectors. The schools are looking for a confident and engaging individual who is happy to get involved supporting pupils of all ages, with a range of Additional Learning Needs. You could be working with Nursery-aged pupils with challenging behaviour one day, and Year 8 pupils who struggle with Anxiety the next, so a flexible and proactive approach is vital!

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is not a requirement, however prior work with children in any setting, whether this is professionally or personally, would be a huge benefit due to the nature of this role.

Role Details:

-          Take on Teaching Assistant Cover across our Rhondda schools.

-          Step in to cover where current TAs are off sick or unavailable.

-          Update your online diary to reflect your availability, and we will book you in for work when you are free!

-          Help last minute where a school is short on staff and support them with pre-booked cover depending on their needs.

-          Assisting pupils aged 2 – 18 with Additional Needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
