An Ofsted-rated GOOD secondary school in Burnley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team on a permanent basis starting in January 2025. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is eager to make a real difference in students' education and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.

Assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities.

Work one-to-one and with small groups of students, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.

Provide support for students with additional educational needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.

Assist in maintaining accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff meetings as required.

Candidate Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.

Previous experience working in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach, with a passion for supporting student learning and wellbeing.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to the varying needs of the classroom.

A strong understanding of child safeguarding procedures.

Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
