Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a real difference in their educational journey? Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the Barnstaple area. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position for the right candidate.

  • Provide targeted support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Offer social and emotional support to pupils through one-on-one and small group sessions
  • Track and report on student progress, working to ensure each child reaches their potential
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or similar role is beneficial but not essential
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and helping them to succeed
  • Patience, understanding, and a caring nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, during school hours
