Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in a welcoming primary school in the EX37 area. This position offers the opportunity to progress into a permanent role for the right candidate.

The EX37 postcode area includes Umberleigh, High Bickington, Atherington, and Chittlehampton, making this role ideal for candidates based in or near these locations.

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them to overcome learning barriers
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and staff to deliver and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Support the social and emotional development of pupils through one-on-one or small group work
  • Track pupil progress and report on development to ensure their needs are being met
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage but not essential; a passion for SEN is key
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring approach to working with children
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A commitment to child safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday, during term time
