Job Advert: SEN Teaching Assistant

A highly reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Reading is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their permanent staff from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual students and small groups in their learning.
  • Assist with the implementation of tailored educational programs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to promote inclusive practices.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN or relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
