Are you passionate about supporting young people’s education and eager to make a positive impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Northampton, helping students achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Schools across Northampton

Contract Type: Full-time, Part-time, or Supply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students across various key stages
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Support students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL pupils
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children (preferred but not essential)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups
