Are you looking to become a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School?
Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic and determined Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in Abergavenny for the new academic year September 2024. The Teaching Assistant for this ideally should have previous experience working within a school/school capacity. This is due to the knowledge and understanding previously operating in this environment brings to the role. Although, for this role we would equally value any experience working with children to some capacity, examples of this may be, playscheme, babysitting, sports coach, working in nurseries etc.
Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant in this role would consist of being able to support the pupils of the class with their learning and development. As well as this, the role will entail working in a close capacity within a nurture provision amongst pupils with a wide range of ALN, trauma and challenging behaviour. Furthermore, you will be expected to create and build upon relationships with the teacher, pupils and parents to the benefit of the pupil’s educational development. Alongside this, you are to ensure the health and safety of the pupils within the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
