Teaching Assistant Required - Starting After October Half-Term!

We are working with a large mainstream primary school in North Manchester who urgently need a Teaching Assistant with a passion to work with children who have an SEN diagnosis. Your role will be offering intervention support to pupils within Year 1, completing 1:1 activities and conducting small group work.

The Role:

  • You will work 8.15 am - 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
  • This is a specific long-term role in a well-regarded school in North Manchester, starting after the October half-term.
  • As a specialist teaching assistant, you will support pupils who require additional help, managing their behaviour, and ensuring they achieve their daily goals.
  • The role will be varied, involving both 1:1 support and classroom-wide assistance to ensure all pupils meet curriculum standards.

The school is looking for someone with experience in providing this kind of support and who can commit to working 5 days a week, 08:15 – 3:30pm. You must also be flexible in being able to attend staff meetings after the school day where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
  • SEN experience
  • UK resident
