We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in a welcoming school community, supporting both students and teachers.

  • Provide assistance to the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects
  • Offer one-to-one and small group support to students, ensuring they are engaged and on track with their learning
  • Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who require additional support, helping them overcome learning barriers
  • Help prepare classroom materials and learning resources to ensure a well-organised, stimulating environment
  • Support the teacher in maintaining positive classroom behaviour and encouraging student participation
  • Assist with school activities, trips, and events, contributing to the overall school experience
  • Provide pastoral care, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (experience with SEN is an advantage)
  • A positive, compassionate approach with a genuine interest in supporting children's education and well-being
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teachers and staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom settings and respond to individual student needs
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
