We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Newbury, (RG14) that specialise in supporting secondary students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in helping our students thrive both academically and emotionally.

  • Support students with SEMH needs in a classroom setting, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Provide one-on-one support for students who require additional help with emotional regulation, behavioural management, and social skills.
  • Encourage and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students develop their independence, resilience, and confidence.

The students will be learning life skills alongside their general studies, so your role will be to ensure that you are a positive and supportive role model to the students, as they navigate through their education. 

Your working days will be: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 9am - 3:30pm. 

This role is to start ASAP once you completed clearing with us, and has the possibility of becoming a perm position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
