Position: Early Years Practitioner
Location: York
Start Date: After October Half Term

Are you experienced in childcare, playgroups, or primary schools? Teaching Personnel is seeking Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join us in nurseries across York, where there is a growing demand for staff on both a permanent and short-term basis. While qualifications are preferred, any relevant childcare experience is welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children under 5 years old, encouraging exploration and development.
  • Plan and observe children’s progress, using IT tools (e.g., Tapestry) to document achievements.
  • Provide personal care as needed and manage small groups effectively.
  • Engage with children in daily activities that promote learning and inclusion.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant childcare experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with SEN is desirable, given the increased needs post-lockdown.
  • Strong communication, observation, and planning skills.
  • A caring, energetic, and nurturing personality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
