Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children in mainstream classes and those with special educational needs (SEN)? We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant school communities.

Teaching Personnel are currently on the lookout for suitable candidates to put forward for roles across Warminster, Wincanton, Castle Cary, Bruton and surrounding areas.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. If you have a positive attitude, patience, and a desire to create an inclusive and supportive environment, we want to hear from you! Experience in SEN support is desirable, but a passion for working with young people is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting Learning: Assist teachers in delivering lessons and provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need additional help.

Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive learning environment by managing behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged.

Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing learning materials and setting up classroom activities.

Student Development: Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

Administrative Tasks: Carry out various administrative duties such as record-keeping and helping with the organization of school events.

Wider Responsibilities: Partake in break and lunch time duty to ensure the safety of children during free time.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
