Role Overview:
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work across various primary schools in Oldbury, stepping in to support pupils and teachers on an as-needed basis. You’ll assist with classroom activities, pupil engagement, and ensure a positive, productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assisting pupils with their individual learning needs, including SEN support.
  • Working with small groups or 1:1 with students to provide targeted learning support.
  • Helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive attitudes.
  • Following safeguarding policies to ensure the well-being of all pupils.
Requirements:
  • A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their education.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work across different schools and year groups.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
