Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant? Are you passionate about SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)? Do you have experience or interest in supporting children and young people with special needs?

An outstanding School, in Harrow are looking for a Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September, to support a child within their SEN unit on a 1:1 basis, supporting them with their development and learning throughout the academic year.

They are looking for someone who has experience working in both education and a vast amount of experience supporting children and young people with Special Needs within the classroom. You must be both positive, proactive and a patient individual who remains in a positive outlook and always willing to progress. To have excellent communication skills.

 

SEN Teaching Assistant Main Responsibilities:

 • Supporting children with Autism/ASC, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD)

• Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children’s achievement and progress

 • Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils

• Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
