Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Are you passionate about textiles and eager to inspire the next generation of designers and creators? We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Textiles Teacher to join our dynamic team in Chorley.

Position: Textiles Teacher

Type: Full-Time
Start Date: 2nd September
Salary:  MPS and UPS.
Closing Date for Applications: 22nd August.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in textiles to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop engaging and creative curriculum materials that inspire and challenge students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience within the department and school.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current developments in textiles and education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Textiles, Fashion, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching textiles at secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for textiles and a commitment to student success.
