What you need?
- An Undergraduate degree in any subject.
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
- Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subject
- Able and willing to travel to the area.
- 2 education-based references
- A passion for teaching
- Good approach to behaviour management
- A determined, hard-working attitude
The role as a cover Supervisor/Trainee teacher- You will be responsible for carrying out pre-prepared and pre-planned exercises.
- Prepare the learning environment before lessons including the distribution of learning materials etc, undertaking administrative support.
- Ensure that the classroom is left in good order at the end of a lesson.
- Manage the behaviour of pupils during the lesson according to the school’s behaviour management policy, and to ensure a constructive learning environment.
- Report back as appropriate on the behaviour of pupils during the lesson and any other issues that may arise. In accordance with school policies, deal with any immediate problems or emergencies.
