Trainee Teaching Assistant

A larger-than-average primary school in Wavertree is seeking to appoint a Trainee Teaching Assistant within their Early Years Foundation Stage setting. Over the past two years, the school has successfully recruited three teaching assistants who are either currently studying for or have recently completed a teaching assistant qualification. As a result, the Headteacher has approached Teaching Personnel to support their recruitment needs.
What will the trainee be doing in this role?
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant in Early Years, you will assist teachers in lesson preparation and help create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for pupils beginning their primary education. During lessons, you will collaborate with the class teacher to support pupils in classroom activities, assist in managing behaviour, and promote independence and learning. Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm are essential in helping all pupils progress, achieve, and overcome any challenges. You will provide support across the curriculum, including English, maths, and phonics.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
