Trust Financial Officer

We are currently seeking a Trust Financial Officer to join our team and oversee financial operations within our multi-academy trust.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the trust.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with school finance staff to support budget planning and monitoring.
  • Process invoices, expenses, and payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the education sector or multi-academy trust environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
