Job Description: We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutors to join our team. As an SEN Tutor with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of school-age students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tuition sessions for students with SEN, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, ADHD, and Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD).
  • Develop individualized learning plans and instructional materials tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each student.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies and techniques to support students in achieving their academic goals and fostering their personal growth.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including assessment data, session summaries, and communication logs.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) or relevant tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN conditions, interventions, and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
