The main responsibilities of the Tutor include providing one-to-one teaching sessions to students, preparing lesson plans and educational materials, assessing students' progress, providing feedback and support to help students improve their understanding of the subject matter, maintaining accurate records of student attendance and performance, and collaborating with other educators to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

A relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, is essential. Strong subject knowledge and expertise in the area of instruction are required. Excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles are necessary.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area is required. Additional qualifications in education or teaching are highly desirable.

Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly in a one-to-one or small group setting, is preferred. Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities is advantageous.

Demonstrated knowledge of the national curriculum and educational best practises. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and engage students, and proficiency in using educational technology and resources.

A Master's degree in Education or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in specific teaching methods or special educational needs (SEN) would be beneficial.

The Tutor will typically work in an educational setting such as a school, pupils home or local library/  centre. The work environment may vary depending on the specific educational institution.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
