£20 - £30 Per hour

  • Deliver high-quality English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
  • Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials tailored to the individual needs of UASC students.
  • Assess students' language proficiency levels and track their progress through regular evaluations.
  • Provide feedback and support to help UASC students improve their English language skills.
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to UASC students' education.
  • Recognised teaching qualification in ESOL or a related field.
  • Experience working with UASC or vulnerable young people.
  • Knowledge of the UK education system and language learning techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field.

At least 2 years of teaching experience in ESOL or a related area, preferably with UASC.

  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and practises.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of UASC students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
  • Postgraduate qualification in TESOL or a related discipline.
  • Experience in delivering online or blended learning.
  • Additional language proficiency.

This role involves working with vulnerable young people in a supportive and educational environment. The working hours are part-time, and flexibility may be required to accommodate students' needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
