Are you looking to get into teaching? Do you want to get experience of working with students but are unsure where to start?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Unqualified Cover Teachers to work on a daily basis for both short and long term positions. This can provide flexibility to your new Cover Teaching role as several partnered secondary schools in the Southend and surrounding areas are currently recruiting on a part-time/full-time basis. Cover Teachers are always in high demand so you will always be undated with work that suits you.

As you will be occupied with several schools, you will be working on an ad-hoc basis where we will contact you prior to your appointment of the potential school. This can allow you to choose when and where to work, enabling you full flexibility of the full-time/ part-time cover supervisor role. As a Cover Teacher this could support your future decision to move into teaching as it can be a platform to enhance your teaching skills and secondary education knowledge.

Schools are increasingly relying on more Cover Teachers as a way to cover the teacher's absence. The role of a Cover Teacher is to supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of a class teacher. As a Cover Teacher you will ensure pre-prepared class work is complete and to manage students behaviour in accordance with school guidelines.
