Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Smile are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support the students at their client SEND schools across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. 

Position:
 SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Coventry, Warwickshire and Nunraton
Type: Full Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students’ learning and development. You will work closely with children who require additional assistance, helping them to engage with their education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote social skills.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Prior experience working with children with SEND is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • An in date and update service registered DBS is essential (we can support with the application)
