Full-time (Monday - Friday) during term-time.

 

Poynton High School is currently working with Teaching Personnel in order to recruit for a full-time permanent Cover Supervisor to start as of September 2024 (or sooner). The hours are 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours per day) and would involve you being on site in school from 08:30am - 3:30pm each day (30-minute unpaid lunch break).

About The School

Poynton High School is an 11-18 Ofsted Good Secondary School and attached Sixth Form catering to students right up to A-Level. It is situated in a highly desirable affluent catchment area. There is transport links available with the nearby Poynton train station offering links into and out of Manchester city centre and Stockport, however access to a vehicle would be beneficial. The school's SLT are incredibly supportive and always ensure that each staff member has the tools required to provide each of their students with the best possible education, embodying their motto; INSPIRE, ACHIEVE, CELEBRATE.

Responsibilities

-          Provide classroom supervision in the absence of a class teacher.

-          Deliver pre-set work to classes across every key stage.

-          Ensure that the school's behaviour management policy is adhered to at all time thus helping to up hold the high standards set by the school.

-          Ensure that after lessons, the classrooms are left neat and tidy and work is collected back in to be given to the member of staff upon their return to school.

-          Ensure the safeguarding of all students and immediately reporting any cause for safeguarding concern to the schools Safeguarding lead. (Free of charge and Nationally Accredited Level 2 Children's Safeguarding qualification provided by Teaching Personnel).

Requirements for role

-          Education to A-Level as a minimum (no undergraduate degree necessary, however would be beneficial).

-          Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills.

-          Fluent in English.

-          Highly professional and enthusiastic individual, who is also punctual and reliable.

-          Ability to build strong working relationships.

-          Flexible by nature and able to adapt to last minute changes of timetables due to fluid nature of a school day.

Pay

-          For the first 12 term-time weeks within the role the pay will be between £85.00 - £90.00 per day (based on a 6.5 hour working day).

-          This 12 term-time week period you will be pay-rolled through Teaching Personnel on a weekly (week in arrears) PAYE basis.
