Location: Thurrock, Essex

Salary: £80+ per day

Are you a compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children's well-being? We are seeking an empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), or behavioural needs. This role involves working in a SEND provision within a mainstream Primary School, providing a rewarding job where you can make a positive impact every day.

Role Overview:

As an Empathetic Teaching Assistant, you will create a safe and nurturing environment for children with SEMH/Behavioural needs. Your role is crucial in fostering their confidence, promoting positive behaviours, and supporting their learning journey. We are passionate about having the right person for the role rather than qualifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with students and provide tailored support based on their individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to create personalised learning plans.
  • Celebrate students' achievements and reinforce their self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to support children's development.
  • Minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Enhanced child-only DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
