Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students on a one-on-one basis and in small groups, particularly those with SEN.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
  • Contribute to planning and preparing learning activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children learn and grow.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
