Position: Veterinary Industry Skills Coach

Location: Northampton

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an excellent Further Education College based in Northampton who are actively seeking Veterinary Nursing skills coaches to join their team from September 2024. The college in mind are dedicated to providing exceptional care to animal patients and fostering a supportive and educational environment for their team. They believe in continuous learning and professional development to ensure the highest standards of veterinary care.

Responsibilities:

  • Training & Development: Provide hands-on training and mentorship to veterinary nurses and support staff, enhancing their clinical skills and knowledge for Apprenticeship and Diploma courses
  • Curriculum Design: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of our veterinary team.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate the progress and performance of veterinary nurses, offering constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and integrate new techniques and best practices into training sessions.
  • Support & Guidance: Serve as a resource and support system for veterinary nurses, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinary nurse, with a strong clinical background.
  • Certified Veterinary Nurse (CVN) or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Previous experience in training, mentoring, or coaching within a veterinary setting is preferred.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with veterinary advancements.
  • Access to a vehicle and a Full UK drivers licence due to the need travel to various sites for training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
